Keynote: Transforming a Niche Magazine into an Online Video Monster!) After cooking up the concept for STACK in his dorm room at Harvard in 2003, Nick Palazzo took a gamble, upset his parents and instead of heading to Wall Street, launched STACK Magazine. Today, Nick oversees a diversified multimedia company with interests in publishing, digital media and online video. Quickly realizing a magazine was not a business in and of itself, Nick focused on developing a strategy that would transform his company from a niche magazine to a online video monster that rivals Sports Illustrated and Men's Health.
STACK is a leading provider of original "how-to" information, inspiring and engaging active, young males. The publishing unit includes the company's flagship publication, STACK (800,000 circulation), periodic special issues and a line of books. The Internet unit includes STACK.com and STACK Media, one of the top sports properties on the Internet, with an average of more than 4 million monthly unique visitors.
